  1. Add three cups of water, one teaspoon turmeric and salt to taste to one cup of yellow lentils.Pressure cook the lentils for 10mins.
  2. Heat clarified butter/ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds to it and let it cook till light brown. Once done add it to the boiled lentils.
  3. Add coriander and chopped tomatoes to the lentil soup and serve it with steaming rice.
